Child Safety Standards

Published August 31, 2026. This page states our standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE).

TACET is for adults only

TACET is an 18+ service. Every account must pass an age check before it can use the service, and accounts that raise doubt during that check are routed to a stronger document check before they can proceed. We do not offer accounts, features, or content for minors, anywhere.

Our standards

• We prohibit any content or behavior that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers children. This includes child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, solicitation of minors, and attempts by minors to access the service.
• Uploaded images pass through screening before they are ever shown to another member.
• If we suspect an account may belong to a minor, we pause the account, require verification, and resolve the case before the account can interact with anyone.
• These standards apply to every brand and region we operate in, and we comply with the child safety laws of each region where the service is available, including the CSAE reporting duties that apply to us as a US electronic service provider.

Reporting inside the app

Every profile and every conversation in TACET carries a report action. Reports offer specific categories, including concerns that someone may be underage, and each report is reviewed by a person. Reporting is confidential: the reported account is not told who reported it.

How we respond to CSAM

• Confirmed or apparent CSAM is removed from view immediately.
• We preserve the material and related account records as evidence, as US law requires, rather than deleting them.
• We report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through the CyberTipline, in line with 18 U.S.C. § 2258A, and we cooperate with law enforcement requests that follow.
• The account involved is banned. Ban evasion is treated as a safety matter, and the device and payment signals we use against fraud also apply here.
